Hank's Gourmet Philadelphia Recipe Root Beer—Contender #9

This is the second entry from my Imported category. This is probably also the entry with the longest name and that comes served in the tallest glass bottle (which does not mean it has the greatest volume). It sure is an impressive looking entry though. I almost felt like I was lazing on the deck drinking a real beer like a real man. However I was not drinking a real beer. I am sure I'm a real man though.

Enjoying this drink makes me more certain of that than I was before.

Hank's Gourmet Philadelphia Recipe Root Beer is a recent entry to the local market. I've seen it in one store only and know that it is about to hit another store I frequent soon. Did I love it? Heck yes. Would I buy more? Why yes I would. Its imported price tag will keep my purchases down though.

From the moment I opened the twist-top bottle and smelled the aroma wafting from the bottle top I knew this was going to be a good one. The taste just confirmed for my mouth what my nose already knew. This is a mighty fine tasting beverage. I found myself savouring each and every drop. The taste is rich and high in sarsaparilla goodness. The carbonation is perfect. The entire experience is somehow rewarding. I felt like a legend drinking this drink.

I did also have a small amount of guilt. Something along the lines of "I'm not sure I can afford this drink".But as Homer Simpson once said ... "Only management-type guys with big salaries like me can afford things like that. Guys like me! I'm a guy like me!" And with drinks like this out there, I sure am glad I'm a guy like me.
